Spec ops copters fly over Denver until Friday

DENVER — Helicopters will continue to buzz between buildings across downtown Denver through Friday as special operation commandoes train in an urban environment.

The flights first took place Monday and include Black Hawk assault helicopters and MH-6 “Little Birds.”

MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.-based U.S. Special Operations Command spokesman Navy Lt. Steve Ruh says the flights are a culmination of a two-week anti-terrorism training exercise. One official told KDVR-TV the flights are not security preparations for the Democratic National Convention in August.

For those people kept awake by the flights that end at 11 p.m., Ruh says it’s a small inconvenience to pay for freedom.

here it is not the sound that is inconvenient though they are shake the ground loud. It is the waiting for one to screw up on how low they can go and crash into you house or yard.
