Camp Pendleton store hit by armed robbers

CAMP PENDLETON — Investigators are looking into an armed robbery of a store at Camp Pendleton.

Investigators officials say no one was injured in the robbery Monday at a Marine Corps Community Services Exchange, an on-base store that sells everything from drinks to batteries.

Marine spokeswoman Maj. Kristen Lasica says it is the second time this year robbers have hit the store.

Citing an ongoing investigation, Lasica would not comment on the number of robbers or whether investigators believed the robbers were military personnel.
