UK Commander Quits Over Troops' Deaths
UK Commander Quits Over Troops' Deaths

Last June, Cpl. Sarah Bryant became the first British female soldier to die in Afghanistan.

The 26-year-old intelligence officer died with three SAS soldiers when their lightly armored Snatch Land Rover split apart after hitting a roadside bomb.

Her mother, Maureen Feely, spoke of her daughter's love of the army.

"She absolutely loved the life. She's done two tours in Iraq and she was coming to the end of this tour in Afghanistan. She gave it her all; she gave it everything; and she's paid the ultimate price for that," Feely said.

Now her commanding officer, the top British SAS commander in Afghanistan, has quit, accusing the Ministry of Defense of gross negligence over the deaths of the four soldiers.
