Thunderbirds Announce Their 2009 Schedule

The Air Force Thunderbirds 2009 schedule takes the F-16 Fighting Falcon team to the Far East, the Super Bowl and plenty of air shows across the U.S.

The season starts early with a Feb. 1 appearance over the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla. The full air show debuts March 21 at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., and will keep the team of pilots and maintainers on the road until the final takeoff at the Thunderbirds’ home, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., on Nov. 15.

Here’s the schedule:

February

Super Bowl fly-over, Tampa, Fla., Feb. 1

March

Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., March 21-22

MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., March. 28-29
