Obama: No safe havens for terrorists

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he’s not going to allow al-Qaida or Osama bin Laden “to operate with impunity” from safe havens in Afghanistan.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday night, Obama also said that while the political system is working in Iraq, that is not the case in Afghanistan.

Obama conceded that Afghanistan “is going to be difficult,” even more so than Iraq. He said the U.S. is “going to have to work smartly and effectively.”

Obama also said he doesn’t have a timetable for completing the review of his Afghan policy.

1. What about Texas? Quite a few of them just left Washington

and went to Texas. So, if there are no safe havens for terrorists, go get them! Except for Cheney (we never seem to know where he is), the Washington Terrorists called the Bush Administration are firmly ensconced in Texas but can likely be pulled out fairly safely.
