Pendleton Marine dies in motorcycle crash

OCEANSIDE, Calif. — A California-based Marine died in a motorcycle crash Saturday near San Diego, local authorities said.

The Marine, identified as Bradley Waterman by the North County Times, was killed after his 2001 Honda CBR 900 motorcycle ran into a Chevy Avalanche at 11:34 a.m. on Highway 76 in Bonsall, Calif., an unincorporated area southeast of Camp Pendleton, the newspaper reported. He died at the scene despite efforts to revive him.
