KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An East Tennessee Marine Reserve unit has returned from seven months of duty in Iraq.

The 4th Combat Engineer Battalion flew into McGhee Tyson Airport south of Knoxville on Sunday morning, and 49 reservists went home to their families across the region.

WBIR-TV quoted reservist Aaron Tolx saying, “It feels good to have family again.”

Battalion member Jared Robson said he had missed his mom’s cooking, calling it “the best.”

The unit returned with all members who left May 26 for training, then headed to Iraq.
