Jessie Brown, Hope it ends well.

CHICAGO (AP) Police in Chicago are trying to end a standoff at a veterans' medical center on the city's West Side. Authorities are negotiating with a man who barricaded himself in a hospital emergency room after reportedly firing one shot. Nobody at the VA center has been hurt.

Police told the Chicago Tribune they are also investigating whether there is a connection with the death of a couple who were found fatally shot Tuesday night.
