Senator Craig forced out of veterans committee republican leadership post.
Senator "I'm not gay" i just enjoy an occasional strange man tool, is gone from his veterans committee assignment as republican ranking member.

He obstructed veterans programs more than anything and favored privatization of veterans needs.

He is a fine example of a neocon chickenhawk.

Good riddance..Craig..whatever you are?

Did you know this jackass even made speeches referring to how we failed in Vietnam after he was elected to the state Senate in Idaho in 1974? Since Idaho was used to such blustery bullshit coming from our rightwing state Congressmen, nobody paid much attention to him.
Yet, he continued making the same type of statements after he was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1980. And he fine tuned his rhetoric about how we need to have a strong national defense, and he acted like he was the only one in the House who cared if the United States had a strong military during the Reagan years. He criticized Democrats like Dan Rostenkowski and Tip O'Neill constantly, saying that Democrats were weak on defense.

By 1990, when Craig was first elected to the US Senate, he was at the top of his game as a rubber-stamping, chickenhawk Republican. He criticized anyone who criticized President Bush Senior over the Persian Gulf War. Yet when Clinton became President, he made demands of the Air Force that were ridiculous. He even held up promotions for Air Force personnel because the Air Force hadn't delivered enough C-130's to the Gowen Field Air National Guard base. As if we were going to be attacked by Canada any day now!

The hypocrisy of this man knows no depth. He would stoop as low in the gutter to fight with anyone who ever disagreed with him.

I'm glad he is gone.
He wasn't willing to compromise on any issue, whatsoever.

And that crap has to end if we are ever to get our troops out of Iraq and support our veterans once they are home.
