:eyes:

"I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Almighty Creator. By fighting the Jews, I am doing the Lord's work."
— Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf

"The National Government will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life."
— Adolf Hitler, Berlin, 1933, first radio address after coming to power

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such a school has no religious instruction and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith . . . We need believing people."
— Adolf Hitler, April 26, 1933, from a speech made during negotiations leading to the Nazi-Vatican Concordat of 1933

"I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so."
— Adolf Hitler, to Gen. Gerhard Engel, 1941.

2. "Oh! but he wasn't a REAL Christian!"

Could have fooled me!

Maybe they'll stick their fingers in their ears and go "Hilter was an Atheist! LALALALALALALALA!!!! I CAN"T HEAR THEM!!!" Like that Pashall woman did to Randi...

Or maybe they'll just bust an alert cap on my ass and send Skinner a "WAH! Those nasty Atheists are BASHING us again!" email...

In Berlin, the Memorial to the German Resistance has a whole ROOM full of pictures like those you posted.

Matter of fact, it has a whole room dedicated to the cozy relationship between Hitler and the various German Xian churches. Lots of poster-sized blowup photos showing cheerful churchmen of all denominations giving the Hitler salute.

And of course, in photos like this one from the Warsaw ghetto, we all know the German soldiers wore belt buckles engraved with "Atheism Mitt Uns:"

BTW, the little boy with his hands up survived the Warsaw Ghetto uprising AND Belsen concentration camp. He came to America not speaking a word of English, and went thru medical school. His name was Dr. Tsvi C. Nussbaum.

Damn pushy immigrants...:sarcasm:

The German soldier behind him is Josef Blösche, known in the Warsaw ghetto as "Frankenstein" for his cruelty.

After WWII, some survivors of Warsaw recognized Blösche in East Germany. He was tried and executed for war crimes.

5. No particular motivation. Just an observation.
I came across the site, and thought there was some interesting material there. Seemed pertinent, since the "Hitler was really an atheist" is one of the top dodges trotted out by the religionists on any given day.

6. And a vegetarian
Don't forget that one. Being a vegetarian atheist means I get the old Hitler chestnut trotted out twice as often. DoubleDictator--It's twice the fun.
