Anyone else notice the increase in god-related stories in the news |
|
since the election? right now CNN online has a story on it's front page titled: Preacher dies with heaven on his lips
basically some preacher died immediately after saying "And when I go to heaven...," and this is news?
There seems to be a "faith-related" story every single day since the election. I find this to be a VERY disturbing trend.

1. God may have smote him for being presumptuous! |

At least that's what I was taught growing up Lutheran - NO ONE can be sure who will go to heaven, that is god's judgment alone.

It's time for an all-out LTE writing campaign. We have to counter-attack this nonsense. I've noticed words like "militant atheists" coming across the airwaves. When, in fact, atheists support Freedom of Religion! Just not government and tax payer support of religion.

3. What the fuck is a militant atheist anyway? |
|
It's not like we're kicking in the windows of the neighborhood church or anything like that. On Sunday mornings the only thing we want to do is sleep in and maybe enjoy a nice breakfast with an extra cup of coffee. How on earth could anyone get wound up over THAT?

4. It's a reflection of the part that religion played in the election |
|
now the MSM has to make it look like "gee... the majority of Americans really ARE religious nutcases... so lets feed them stories to make them feel good." Another reason I've abandoned television news.
