A book I highly recommed. I shown the book to a former Jesuite Priest, which he read as was so impressed by it that he bought 4 copies to give to some of his friends that are also former Jesuite Priest. All of which have said that the book is "Spot on."

1. The myth, which is what most Christians groove on while

ignoring the warm and fuzzy teachings, is pure hogwash. Anyone who knows about Mithras, Zoroaster, and Hercules knows it was cobbled out of equal parts of those three. The myth is an ancient one that predated the history, possibly by millennia.

The only hope to grow Christianity and Christians up would be a conclusive proof that Jesus of Nazareth was a human being, not kicked upstairs Roman style to be a god.

Until and unless that happens, they'll continue to be held in thrall to a folk religion that requires nothing of them but a mawkish faith in an all good god who will swoop down and save them from themselves at the last possible instant, one of the most destructive myths out there.
