Illinois just elected a scientist to Congress
Bill Foster, genuine egghead:

http://www.foster08.com/2007/12/meet_bill_foste.html

Notice anything odd about that page?

Where's God? Where's Jesus? Where's the affirmation of Christian solidarity?

They're not there. Those words appear nowhere on his site:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:www.foster08.com+god
http://www.google.com/search?q=site:www.foster08.com+jesus
http://www.google.com/search?q=site:www.foster08.com+christian

Bill Foster did the unthinkable. He got elected without the obligatory nod to faith.

Way to go, Illinois! Take that, religio-supremacist meatheads!

3. Very cool!
It's rare when someone doesn't plug faith or gawd to get elected.

4. Wikipedia lists his religion as 'none'
There's no citation for that, so I don't know how reliable it is, but it gives me a little bit of hope.

5. Why must you insist on making the baby Jesus cry?
:(
