3. It may be from the Ben Stein movie

I notice that several scientists were stamped with the word "expelled" on their foreheads. Stein may be the only person on their side creative enough to make this video, too. It really comes across as a piece by creationists, so my guess is that it has something to do with that movie.

No matter who made it, it's funny as hell.

4. I doubt it

It's certainly inspired by the film, but I doubt it's from the Expelled team. Firstly, people who've seen the film say it's dull, has poor production values, and leaden humour, unlike this video. Secondly, it uses the word "creationist", which is discouraged by the ID crowd. Thirdly, it doesn't seem to be aimed at Expelled's core audience, rather dim church-goers: some of the references will go over their pointy little heads, plus they'll regard it as filthy devil music. Fourthly, Ben Stein doesn't appear in it.

It does portray evolutionists in the way creationists like to think of us: arrogant, dogmatic, suppressive of dissent etc, but it's pretty common for our side to make a joke of the paranoid viewpoints of the creationists. How often have you heard an atheist mention the EAC, for example? I think the video pokes fun at the absurd way the creationists view the reality-based community.

I didn't see Expelled, so like I said I was guessing. It is rather energetic for Ben Stein. I'll chalk this one up to another smear by the EAC. Gotta keep that counter-propaganda churning out, y'know?
