Hitchens vs Hitchens: On God, War, Politics, and Culture
Brothers Christopher and Peter Hitchens are set for their first public debate, this Thursday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They plan to debate on numerous topics, from religion to Iraq.

4. Like his brother, he's not so easily pigeon-holed
Like a lot of ex-Trotskyists, he's become a bit of a mix: very right-wing, but with a few surprises. To his credit, he's against the Iraq war, though he's certainly no friend of the anti-war left. But for evidence of his unpleasantness, you need look no further than his extreme social conservatism, which wouldn't be out of place in the US Christian right.

5. I wouldn't say I'm pigeonholing Christopher.
He often speaks on the necessity of the utilization of American military might to spread secular ideals. What that boils down to is that the darker people of the Earth have an inferior culture and it is our duty enlighten them at gunpoint.
