The Idiot's image is purposfully acknowledged as that of an... idiot. Which allows him to follow the wind without any justification or to contradict himself twice a day if necessary. "Ooops, I didn't see that but experts tell me to, so, well, they must be right". That's the ultimate political strategy: no way to defeat it in this context. The Idiot can never be proven wrong.

3. I heard this on the way to work on NPR.
I remember hearing those same words about the ozone layer OVER 20 F*CKING YEARS AGO.
Not only are we destroying our country, we're cheerfully bringing about the demise of the entire planet and we don't f*cking care.
