So shut up. I know much more about it. I don't have time to detail the ways you are wrong. You are a fool.
And you keep making personal attacks!

Lord Reith developed something special: a global cure for ignorance.
Nation shall speak peace unto nation.
In fact, I'm so moved by remembering the BBC motto, I'm going to change my sig right now.

14. Ahem, regarding that... |
|
Pardon the shit out of me, but what "atheist" says something like this?
So yeah, lots of aspects of the Bible have been shown to be either true, or plausible.
I mean, WTF? Where's the plausible parts? Creating the universe in 6 days? Forming a man from a pile of dust and a woman from his rib? Taking two of every kind of animal into a little wooden boat for 40 days? Talking bushes? 3 guys surviving a blast furnace? Bears being sent to kill childen for laughing at a bald guy?
Sorry, he lost me on that one.

Too bad it got locked for "running its course." Eh? Obviously it had not run its course, since I didn't get a chance to dissect that statement about the awesome historical accuracy of the Bible.
Complete with the usual broad-brush claim about "archeological evidence proving the Old Testament true."
Which evidence is that? Thanks to archeology, we know that no Jewish army ever besieged Jericho (though lots of other armies did). We know the Exodus yarn about Egypt could not have happened as told in the OT, since archeologists have never uncovered one bit of evidence that a large tribe wandered the Sinai Desert for 40 years.
Let alone the parting of the Red Sea. Which was, incidentally, a tale also told about Pharoah Sneferu of Egypt, who lived many centuries before Moses allegedly did.
The fable about Sneferu tickles me because it has a more humanistic slant than the vengeful, gory story of Moses killing an Egyptian army in the Red Sea.
Pharoah Sneferu was floating in a lake with a boatload of harem girls. One girl lost her emerald ring in the lake and refused to accept a replacement, even though the Pharoah promised her a bigger and better ring.
So Sneferu's court magician parted the waters, went down to the now-dry floor of the lake, and found the girl's ring.
Oh, there was another story about Pharoah Sneferu, too. When he was born, his mother overheard a plot to kill him. So she put him in a little boat made of bulrushes, sealed the boat with pitch, and floated him down the Nile where a princess found him.
Sound familiar?
