GAMPAC Conference
My partner says that a few months ago, he got an e-mail about a GAMPAC conference next Spetember in DC. Anyone have any details on this or know where we can find more info? We'd like to make a week of it, with travel arrangements and so forth.

1. Don't know about the conference, but...
I'd recommend staying in Baltimore (45 minutes from DC by MARC train, which is $7 each way and accessible by Baltimore's lightrail and the DC METRO).

There are lots of great boutique hotels in the Mount Vernon neighborhood (where I live), and one of them is run by the culinary institute (The Mount Vernon Hotel):
