1. Did you notice that no one in the church
is getting sucked up into heaven?

13. The pulpit's empty.
And there's empty places in the pews. The house at the left, mom's about to fly out the window while hubby's still asleep (why is it always depicted like that?) and downstairs, one of the kids has already flown the coop...
And there's DAID people comin' out of the ground in the graveyard!

21. Well, Mom may be about to join the Rapture...
But her classic doggie-style pose makes me wonder about just exactly what she might be expecting in Paradise...

4. Yes, those Indians were saved by early missionaries.
Good thing huh!

There is a briefcase unattended by the bus stop. Dilemma: Can we divvy it up or is it a timebomb? Is there still "terra" now? And do flying people poop like birds?

5. And who's the Quaker Oats guy to the left?
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 03:09 PM by onager
Is that Cotton Mather? William Penn? Barbara Bu$h?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Thanks a lot for this gem. It gave me some Big Laffs when I needed them.

On edit: that abandoned car looks like a Yugo. Y'all can fight over that POS. Must belong to one of Benny Hinn's victims...

The Indians ARE a nice touch. The Indians gave the first settlers food and knowledge. And in return, the settlers graciously gave them Jesus and syphillis. I'm not sure which disease was worse, in the long run...

7. yeah, it's a "global community" church
No such thing exists, of course, but naturally Jaysus frowns on things like "accepting other cultures" and "liking brown people." That's probably what they do in that church.

8. That makes sense.
The name of the church does sound sinister, just like "diversity" and "tolerance" are actually code words for the gay agenda.

Totally logical.

11. So, if you're naked at the time, you'll be naked forever?
While everyone else has their clothes on? Or does God order everyone to get their kit off once they get there?

17. So, while some people get sucked through their windscreen
so sudden is The Glorious Day, others get a quick message from God: We're leaving in 3 minutes - get yourself presentable. Oh, and make sure you go to the bathroom. There's none of that dirty stuff in the afterlife, and you won't like it if you're feeling like you need to go for enternity.

18. Exactly.
Hell would be Sisyphus having to pee and each time he gets to the bathroom, his teenage daughter cuts in front of him and locks the door.

14. The rapture is darker than I expected
I'm looking at the angle of the shadow on the blue shingled roof, and it appears to be coming from another source, further left, which I assume is the sun. I thought the rapture would be brighter than that.

Learn something new everyday, I guess.

16. Wow! that one guy is getting sucked right through the windshield
I hope the bloke with his head sticking out from the manhole gets below or gets raptured before the driverless Yugo re-enacts a scene from Death Race 2000.

19. I'm confused....
We have a truck and car on the road, people in 1950s garb, and then people in colonial clothes along with native Americans in animal skin skirts.

What year is this supposed to be? Where are the "older" people coming from?

This rapture thing is so confusing.

20. Questions make baby jesus cry.
You're supposed to blindly accept whatever they tell you or show you.

One of may favorite bumper stickers reads "In case of rapture, can I have your car?"

22. Fundies need to read up on their own mythology.
144,000 people, 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Judea. Koresh on a cracker, it's right there in "Revelation".

In other words, no gentiles. Sorry, all you WASPs. You're stuck here with us heathens.
