1. We are very, very, very lucky to have such good people |

in Mass as Teddy Kennedy and John Kerry. I remember at a launch event for Sen. Kennedy's re-election bid this year that a vet in the crowd told of the many, many times that Sen. Kennedy's office has gone the extra mile for Mass and New England veterans to make sure they get what they need when they need it. He is a wonderful Senator and this state is blessed to have him, as is this country.

If there's anybody in the country that deserves a room full of roses (or something), it's Ted Kennedy. We are going to be in a world of hurt when he passes, just a world of hurt. We should find a way to honor him before it's too late.

Teddy Kennedy is a great guy. The Greatest Senator Who Ever Lived is a funny and warm person with a good sense of humor. (I think the Kennedy's are due for a bit of a rebirth in Massachusetts. I like Joe's kids very much. Matt Kennedy is a real sweetheart. I saw him at a backyard cookout a few weeks ago and he has really blossomed as a speaker since Jan.)
We take good care of Teddy K in Mass. The Senator is Dean of the Mass Congressional Delegation and nothing, but nothing, goes on in this State that The Senator does not know about. (I think The Senator can tell you the vote count from each city and town in Mass, going back 40+ years. He knows his State, and he has been an outstanding voice in the Senate for the people here for over 40 years.) I agree, when that, I hope, distant day arrives, it will be a tremendous loss for the country and for my home state. They don't make 'em like that anymore, sigh!
