2. Who Cares What These Asswipes Have To Say
Hell if they get there kicks out of calling a war hero, great prosecutor, and great senator a names let them. That is why their sorry asses are sitting behind a computer trying to play god, judge, and jury and he has a successful career fighting and doing right for his country. Fuck these asswipes. They are the chickenshits or they would have their asses out there fighting for their country instead of judging those that do.

3. True, although I don't like it when they give the impression that what
they say is how most people around here feel.

Of course, sometimes I think most of the people here are nuts but it is generally just a very vocal minority.

4. I Don't See WTF They Are Complaining About
I'm watching this the interview now and hell I think he is doing a good job myself. WTF do they except for the man to go on there and scream and cuss and act like a total dumbass like they are? I don't find a damn thing wrong with what he has said or done so far. Hell he said he was getting with the Navy to make sure all his records were released, he would sign a 180 form, and he said he challenged all these people running there mouth about him to do the same. He said let's be fair and all sign the 180 form so people can see what is in there records.

5. I Just Finished Watching The Second Half
WTF is it about the interview that is suppose to be so bad or would qualify someone as a chickenshit? I don't see it. Hell someone tell me what I'm not seeing here. Because if there was anything he said in that interview wrong or out of the way I want to know because I sure as hell don't see it. Hell maybe I'm being a blind loyalist here but I think he did a good job myself. So help me out what did I miss.

6. I don't know what interview they were watching...
...but I thought he did fine. He had to field some real asshole questions, but there was nothing wrong with his answers.

I'm real sick of people allegedly on our side watching Kerry through that Karl Rove talking points filter.

9. yeah
I don't think Dean or Clark or whoever is their current hero would have been able to top Kerry this morning. He was smart, articulate, eloquent, dead certain about where he stands on the issues.

Why they think he is a sell-out, is that he shows the ability to acknowledge other peoples' points of view and the same time that he is postulating his own, and that is a quality that every great leader has!

LOL-I was sure he was going to agree with Kennedy on the pull-out of Iraq--but he didn't. So many are jumping on that bandwagon--and article in the Progressive had me all but convinced yesterday. But I believe JK knows what he's talking about, and he sticks with it regardless of who disagrees, even Kennedy. He and Biden agree that we need to train Iraqi troops first.

8. I agree it is a minority. Unfortunately, it is the voice die hard Repubs
ALWAYS seem to use to "represent" the Dem party as a whole. Sometimes I think the party needs to make very clear these people are 'nuts" and do not have a real voice in the party. I guess that would be shooting yourself in the foot but when are these people going to realize how radical they sound. I think they are every bit as DELUSIONAL as the neo-con wing of the thug party!

10. either they are as delusional as the neocons, or
they ARE the neocons! LOL

Sure, why not? It's an open board, and they would really have a good reason to try to slay JK's reputation, wouldn't they.

I'm just wondering what is the smartest way to fight back--to give them logical reasons, or just laugh and make jokes about their opinions, or just ignore them? It seems a big waste of time to go into long explanations, (and I've done it more that a little).

What does everyone think we should do? I don't feel like surrendering DU to them.

No retreat, no surrender.

13. I just don't have the energy to fight with irrational people anymore...
Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 12:40 PM by bush_is_wacko
Occassionally I might try once or twice, but after the Nashua Advocate attacked Kerry for DOING something and doing it well, the only response I can come up with is to call them what they are, idots! I'm sure that is not productive! It is time to FOCUS on concrete issues, not irrational judgements.

I WILL NEVER SURRENDER, but maybe it is time to just post IDIOT in capital letters and move on!

In fact here's an example of that...

28. Exactly how did the Nashua Advocate attack Kerry?
It looked to me as though they were going after the issue of election reform. I think we need election reform AND I think Kerry won. JMHO. I don't think those viewpoints are mutually exclusive. And I too find the anti-Kerry threads repulsive. I simply accuse them of snorting silly string!:D
As staunch a Kerry supporter as I am though, I can almost understand their frustration. It is like when my cat attacks me becuase he can't get to the cat outside.Misplaced aggression. The party HAS been rolling over and playing dead and it HAS been kissing Bush's ass. We are getting a bit better with the Boxer rebellion, but we aren't there yet. Some people don't have the patience for to wait for change and are taking it out on Kerry. I say "shut up and watch how he votes"! That is the tue litmus test. And so far, I am proud of his voting record(except for Iraq!)

14. I've fought with them too and it just seems to escalate. The most
effective response IMO has been the "yawn" responses. Especially if a lot of people do it. It is clear you don't agree with them and that what they are spouting is the same crap they have spouted before.

What response do you like best?

12. When Russert Was Talking About Corsi
Moving to Massachusetts and running against John he just laughed because like us he knows it is a damn joke. Then Russert mentioned some pole that supposedly was taken in Massachusetts that said 6 out of 10 people in Massachusetts don't want him as there senator any more well he just smiled and said "well Tim I think we know how polls are they said I didn't have a chance in the primaries they counted me out in Iowa." Hell he knows that is a bunch of horseshit as much as we do. Does Russert think for one minute that in liberal Massachusetts where it overly populated with Catholics that they would vote for a far right neocon bigot like Corsi? Give me a damn break. Where did they do there poll at that is what I would like to know because that is the biggest joke of a so-called pole I have ever heard. Hell the people of Massachusetts love Kerry.

Russert needs to make a trip to Massachusetts and he will find out and see for himself. Sure you have republicans there but they are definitly the minority in Massachusetts and the democrats love Kerry there may be a few get pissed at him but hey what the hell that is expected. Hell one thing is for sure Kerry and Kennedey are going no where till they are ready to and you can take that to the bank.

It was brought up about Scalia he come straight out and said he made a mistake there. And he said why he felt it was a mistake. Something to many people don't have the ball to in politics is admit to mistakes and learn from them. Kerry's must be made of brass.

He point out failures of the * administration. He talk about his Kids Come First plan. He talked about how he can't legislate a article of his faith onto others when talking about abortion. But he also talk about what had to be done to bring the abortion rate down. How we had to let it be know that we are not only a party of pro choice there is also many pro life democrats and all are welcome in the party and should be. He talked about how abortion has went up under * and during the Clinton years it went down.

Again I don't see what they call chickenshit. They are fruit loops!

22. I got one thing wrong in my post
It was they didn't want him to run for president I said senator. But still it is a bunch of horseshit! The bastard Massachusetts don't want any longer is Romney. I think Russert got the names mixed up. Because the other is horseshit! Who the hell did they get to take these poles anyway? Romney and his warriors. Hell they people will see how much Massholes give a damn what they think when they get rid of Romney's sorry ass. I will personally help them with it! And Corsi well that is just a damn joke itself!

23. I just alerted to posters in another thread who are bashing each other
one rabid Kerry, one rabid Dean. Both annoying.

I thought it was a good interview on MTP. Why do I seem to be in the minority. Why are some bitching that he should go away. That's childish. We need leaders and he still has a job to do.

Araaaagh!

But it felt good to alert on Heckle and Jeckle in that other thread.

I hated to post and run but I had to go to work. You all did a fine job!

I usually engage with them but honestly, this time I just would have said something that might have gotten me tombstoned and that was not my intention.

They are such politcal children sometimes. They want it now, now now and if they don't get it, they throw a tantrum.

Our man did just great today. As mentioned up thread he answered every question with facts and still found time to smile!

Thanks again for coming to my rescue!

25. They're bashing Kerry on another thread that was started
about an article regarding Soros's opinion about Kerry's performance as the Democratic nominee.

What is up with DU of late? We support Kerry and on the turn of a dime, some people trash him like he's worthless? That's such bullshit. What gets me is one poster didn't even bother voting in the primaries or the general election and she's busting on him. WTF?
