1. HORSESHIT - Kerry expected to win the WH and expected that at some time
Edited on Sun Oct-15-06 01:39 PM by blm
he would need a resolution that threatened military force, too, as a last resort. ANY president SHOULD have that.

The difference is that Kerry and ANY Dem would have NOT VIOLATED the guidelines on weapon inspections and diplomacy measures and would have given those provisions the full opportunity FIRST.

Don't make Dems responsible for Bush violating the IWR.

3. and also - it's a LITTLE question, Mr. Ego asked.
Big question, my ass.

How about, Mr. Ego ask what candidates are ABLE to craft doable withdrawal plans?

5. You know, the funny thing is
these post about Kerry, are now being joined by post about the other candidates. Oh wait until the posturing begins! Everyone of these is filled with Gore! Edwards! Clinton! Obama! Clark!

In fact, JK has a more consistent and larger base of support than most of them!

6. Link needed here:
http://www.dailykos.com/comments/2006/10/15/134712/25/248#c248

poster is claiming Kerry didn't speak out after Bush invaded. I believe he did, it just didn't get covered in the media.

I'm off to look for a link, but anyone who has it, please post.

7. He should have stuck to the truth of the vote
The plan was to get inspectors into Iraq because there was inconclusive intelligence regarding WMDs. That is what Bush said at the time, he specifically said it was not a vote for war. Kerry can well say the mistake was in trusting Bush and he deeply regrets THAT, but he has nothing to apologize for in supporting getting inspectors into Iraq. EVERYBODY supported that. Stupid Democrats who have completely distorted this vote need to be bopped on the head, even Ted Kennedy.

8. Considering the top three contenders -- Hillary, Kerry, Edwards
all voted for the IWR, this is a really stupid diary. And Gore isn't going to run.

There were actually good parts in that diary, where people said nice things. Those comments do matter. Sigh -- was it on the Rec List?

10. Yep, it was like number 3 already
when I posted here.

My policy is to let the crap sink if it will, but if it ends up on reco, it has to be dealt with. Sigh.

14. Also, of those 3 contenders
Edwards is on tape (Hardball, Oct 2003- yes 2003, not 2002) still saying the war was right, that he hadn't believed their were WMD, but thought there were other valid reasons for invading.

Hillary, who like her husband, did NOT speak out before the war or when the invasion started.

and Kerry, who said it was premature to go to war, that the inspectors were not not done and diplomacy had not been exhausted and who spoke against the invasion.

Also consider which of the three has an exit plan and who has spoken out the most passionately that the policy is wrong and that it is immoral to continue as is.

11. Okay, now they're comparing Kerry to Lieberman
I just called them a bunch of idiots. Sorry, I can't be reasoned and civilized when the level of bullshit flying descends down to this level.

These comments are at the bottom. That damned site remains Deaniac central. They never liked him in the first place. Can the good senator even post there anymore if it's in an '08 context? I think he'll get flamed BIG TIME. If it's a common cause as a U.S. Senator, then it's okay. But as a presidential contender, he may as well post on Freeperville. I HATE that site. And Friday night was SUCH a great night for JK, and now these a**holes ruined everything. I'm not sure they believe in anything or anybody.

And, Tay Tay -- you were right. We're STILL going to have to defend that vote, while explaining what happened that made him recant it.

12. I think so too
I think he should just come out and say it was a vote for diplomacy. I am tired of all the hatred at him while promoting other Democrats. It's really pathetic.

13. I am going to pass
I can't stand the Kos interface/format. I am just not used to it. I will give it a whirl maybe after Nov 7th. I don't have any history with any of these people.

A question for some of the Edwards and Clark supporter could be:

Does your John Edwards or Wesley Clark encourage your attacks against JK? Do you think they would approve?

If yes----ask why?

Liebermann is the only Democrat that Kerry disses. He generally saves his venom for republicans.

Why do you disrespect John Edwards (or Wes Clark) by sounding like a hack doing hit jobs on John Kerry?
