FLINT - Sen. John Kerry called Gov. Jennifer Granholm Michigan's best defense against President Bush's economic policies.
"We need her. She knows what she's doing," Kerry said during a rally Wednesday in Flint.
An enthusiastic crowd of more than 500 greeted Kerry, D-Mass., during a rally for Democratic candidates at the party's local campaign headquarters in Flint.
"Welcome home," Granholm said as she introduced Kerry to the crowd that gave him several standing ovations.
Kerry lashed out at Bush for a laundry list of problems: the war in Iraq, the Medicare drug plan, North Korea's nuclear bomb test and not properly supporting veterans' health care.
