I am also officially mad at Andrew Sullivan and will not read him for a while (this always happens) as he sides with the WH's POV, and demands Kerry apologize. Today has been tough, and I'm not sure what the fallout will be. Does anyone know?

I apologized for all of the wars in the 20th century, and this century, too. I didn't mean it, but I'm sorry anyway.


Andrew will ALWAYS have a blind spot in regards to Kerry. His position today makes ZERO sense in light of what he said yesterday about the rage he felt with the actions of the Bush administration. What did Kerry do to him anyway to get so much scorn. BTW -- Joe Klein will go after him next; you can count on it.

Still, I'm reading overall, either a neutral POV of the "Kerry incident" or even praise. The lefty blogs thought he was great.

I've been stuck at work since early afternoon. We're actually covering for a holiday in India today, where half of my department's jobs were outsourced. So we're running at half-staff, and I'm at work until 11:00 PM tonight. It finally quieted down enough for me to get a word in on this. I was observing and posting a lot earlier today as PolitiCalypso.

Since you don't have to have an account to post there, I think that some of the freepers are posting under multiple names to make it look like there's more of them. If that's what they're going to do, we should play that game as well, and rotate several names when we post.

wrote to CNN today (is there a maternal pride smiley??) and just posted on the Kerry blog as well:

Just sharing with you what I couldn't resist saying to CNN:

I think that any media outlet or reporter who does their work properly would know that Kerry's joke was at the end of a string of jokes about George W. Bush being incompetent. If someone would take the time to rewind the tape 30 seconds, we would all see that the joke had nothing to do with the troops. Everyone who cares to do their research knows this - and one would think that CNN reporters would fall under this category. I cannot believe that Kerry's photograph has been the front story on cnn.com all day long. With an election in less than a week, I am appalled that CNN, the "most trusted news network in America," is chasing this red herring thrown by the GOP to distract from their long list of failures, the top item being the war in Iraq. My 4 month old puppy is shrewder than you. After pretending to throw the ball for her 3 times, she figures out that it's just a trick. The GOP has been doing this for years, and you still haven't figured it out.
