The sadism of our president has been revealed
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/12/3/202133/415

Well, tonight I attended a party honoring volunteers in the Hunter Mill District of Fairfax County, VA who had helped - in a very big way - to bring about Webb's upset victory and thus garner control of the Senate. I had the opportunity to chat with Congressman Jim Moran (D-Va 8th district) in private before he publicly addressed the group. I recounted how proud I was of Webb's actions in front of Bush, and recounted the speculation on whether Bush could possibly have known about the incident with Webb's son. He said, without hesitation:

"Not only did Bush know about it, he was specifically briefed on the incident before meeting with Webb, and was cautioned to be extra sensitive in speaking with Webb about his son."

I'm posting this in the JK forum, because that a**hole in the WH who feigned outrage of Kerry "insulting" the troops deliberately went up to the parent of one to taunt him. To remind him of how HIS SON is in harm's way at the obligation of this president. Unforgiveable!!! This wasn't about Bush lacking manners; this is about Bush being just cruel.

1. That was the one remaining question in my mind -

did Bush actually know about Webb's son's close call. That really is sickening, but unfortunately not surprising. His whole fake folksy nickname shtick, the way he bullies the press corps - I've long thought that he was probably the kind of kid who would incinerate ants with a magnifying glass. Now I'm certain of it.

Do you remember this story?

BRANDING RITE LAID TO YALE FRATERNITY
New York Times (1857-Current file). New York, N.Y.: Nov 8, 1967. p. 80

Branding was done with a wire coathanger, according to a former president. But W, who is quoted in the article, says it's "only a cigarette burn."

Definitely a sadist.

2. warped, bent, twisted, and morally decayed.
That's what monkey-boy's life has done to him, and what he's done to himself. Start with a life of privilege, but no obligation to make something good out of it (a stark contrast to Kerry's upbringing). Add a war hero dad who you can't possibly be as good as, and a cold, strict, unsympathetic mother who never allows any bad feelings--everything must always be happy and cheerful. (Mom's philosophy: Oh life is much more pleasant when you don't dwell on the bad things. You just ignore or deny any of the bad parts. Like when your daughter dies, you don't tell her seven-year-old brother George until after the funeral. Wouldn't want to upset the boy and create a scene!)
Later, you throw in some drugs and alcohol to dull the constant pain of inferiority that results from never being required to actually learn to be anything but a spoiled snobby rich kid. Which ensures that you become a failure. But if you screw up, somebody else always fixes it--no need to work up a sweat too much about it. But somewhere deep inside, you know you're no good. But oh, let's keep up a brave facade, and everything will be fine.
No surprise he wants to inflict pain on animals or other people. He can't admit to his own emotional pain, and he doesn't feel anybody else's pain either. And that fits the definition of a sociopath.

4. You nailed Dear Leader perfectly there.
What does that say about anyone who would cast a vote for him?

I didn't think it was possible to loath * any more than I already do, but the story that Beachmom posted proves that I was wrong. He is an evil, sick and twisted bastid.

5. And then there is the heinous sadism:
http://time.blogs.com/daily_dish/2006/12/padilla.html

Descriptions of the effects of torture on two prisoners:

Padilla:

"During questioning, he often exhibits facial tics, unusual eye movements and contortions of his body," Mr. Patel said. "The contortions are particularly poignant since he is usually manacled and bound by a belly chain when he has meetings with counsel."

Qhatani:

At the end of months of sleep deprivation and other forms of torture, Qahtani, according to an FBI letter, "was evidencing behavior consistent with extreme psychological trauma (talking to non existent people, reporting hearing voices, crouching in a cell covered with a sheet for hours on end)."

And you KNOW the president approved this, thereby throwing America's good name down the toilet.
