Heads up - BIGTIME heads up
Either a GOP frontgroup like swifts or coverup, big bizness wing of Dem party started a website to tell Kerry to go away and shut up and stop speaking as a Democrat.

This has got to be linked with his leading net neutrality issue in January. The site is very professional and set up to handle heavy press inquiiries.

Kerry's office needs a heads up NOW, so he can preempt them and declare he will not be silenced on net neutrality or get shoved around by the big business wing of ANY party.

the site is called goawayjohnkerry. Sounds like heyjohn, doesn't it.

I don't want the link easily accessible, so I am refraining from putting it up. The group is claiming to be the Center for New Democrtaic Leadership.

Democratic leaders who will be asked about that will disavow them.

It is clearly another hitjob against Kerry, once again anonymous.

The only correct answer is that we all have free speech: Kerry and them.

23. Wingnuts:
P.S. Oh yeah, we also want our money back from the 2004 election. We worked really hard for it and you squandered it. It’s not losing that kills us as much as never having thrown a punch. You laid down on the tracks and let the Republican train roll right over you. The consequences will reverberate for generations. Now, we want our money back. If you don’t have it, sell more ketchup.

Idiocy!

The longer (more entertaining?) version:

Well, as you can probably tell from our open letter, we have a serious name but we are not particularly formal. In fact we think the stodgy, patrician manner in which leaders like John Kerry speak is part of what alienates formerly core constituencies, like the South and the working class, from the Democratic Party. And it’s truly a shame, because our Party has their interests at heart and in our agenda. But leaders in our Party have difficulty speaking with a conviction and in a vernacular that appeal to anyone beyond urban liberals. John Edwards and Barack Obama probably communicate better than anyone in the Party right now. Too bad neither has a deep political resume. Joe Biden is also not bad. Al Gore? Let him speak on topics he's passionate about and he does a decent job. Hillary Clinton? As much as we like her, she doesn't stand a chance in the general election. Let’s not do that to ourselves. Bill Richardson? Well, he just can’t speak at all. Joe Lieberman? Don’t get us started.

Pretty silly! There is someone in GD circulating a petition asking Clinton not to run!

11. So, its all so simple, we lost the middle class and the South because
we (?) don't talk like them. I really am confused, I am middle class, I have no problem understanding Kerry or others.

5. I would watch them blm, but
There stuff is not serious. They are not raising serious policy questions and they are not talking about Iraq. There problems with Kerry are all style problems. They also say they want someone who is post-baby boomer. (Ah, duh! That is about the dumbest reason to ask someone not to run. You're just a bit older than we are, so no, you can't run.)

I would watch them, but this is a dumb website.

I just them an e-mail, telling them they inspired me to contribute money to Sen. Kerry's PAC. I found them to be a reminder of why I like the Senator and hope he runs again.

It is an elaborate site though, and they must have some backing from somewhere.
I also mentioned how childish this was.

And how stupid a waste of time is that darn site? Totally weird. But it'll probably be in the news within a few days. Anonymous websites bashing Kerry seem to always do that.

Although I enjoyed sharing my ranting e-mail to Sully with you guys here at the JK forum and with it up at welovejohnkerry.com, I ended up regretting putting it in GD-P, because I thought it invited negativity. I was relieved when the thing sunk. And now these idiots brought it back. Ugh.

Is it possible to alert and have it locked? It is now being used for a purpose other than what was intended. It has now become a link to flame bait. I think I will try and alert.

16. blm, see this part of ProSense's response to the Gates hearing
thread

Focus on Iraq

In the new Congress, Democrats are planning to keep a focus on Iraq. The House International Relations Committee, which Tom Lantos, D-Calif., will chair, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which Joseph R. Biden Jr., D-Del., will take over, plan hearings with commission members in January, committee aides said.
Biden’s hearings on Iraq would be “intensive and extensive” and last up to eight weeks, an aide said.

Biden, a potential Democratic presidential candidate in 2008, favors a policy that would decentralize Iraq along ethnic lines, with Baghdad retaining control over oil and border security.

John Kerry, D-Mass., another likely candidate, would like to see a meeting between Bush and members of Congress to hammer out a bipartisan policy on Iraq.

In anticipation of White House resistance to Democratic ideas, Kerry hinted that Congress has the power to halt funding for military action. He alluded to the 1982 “Boland Amendment” (PL 97-377), which banned Reagan administration funding for the “contras” opposed to the leftist Sandinista-led government in Nicaragua.

Kerry’s reference came in a Nov. 30 interview with CNN. A day later, a Kerry aide said the senator was not suggesting that Democrats might seek to cut off war funding. Indeed, incoming Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has said Democrats will not do so while U.S. forces are still deployed in Iraq.

But Bush’s next war supplemental, which is expected to be as high as $100 billion and reach Congress in February, will provide Democrats with yet another opportunity to debate the president’s wartime stewardship, even as they are expected to approve his spending request.

If the Senator is being targeted for something, it's not from net neutrality, it's here.

that really never gets a chance to fade over the past 4 years.

I went to the "about CDNG" page and amidst all the other puke, they made a statement that they claim to want to "honor" John Kerry, but tell him to get lost and shut up.

Cretins. Morons. Totally devoid of any moral compass whatsoever. (How can you say someone is a "great" person, you want to "honor" him, but he should go away .. because you don't fucking like the way he fucking puts a sentence together?!?)

If this is representative the "New Generation" of the Democratic Party, then I'll be bailing out of the Democratic Party.

Edited to add words to make it make sense. Can't fucking type I am so fucking pissed after looking at that site.

And Ira Glass can pound sand, too. I think NPR needs a few letters about him.

They replied to LittleClarkie so obviously someone is reading the emails.

We need to inundate them with emails explaining exactly how despicable this smearjob is. If they're "legit" maybe they'll shut it down. If not... they'll know that Kerry and his supporters are not going to put up with this bullshit.

27. This has got to be someone that is very nervous, behind this.
Seems to me that John Kerry's 5 television appearances this week has some people nervous. If he is such a has been then why the heck to they feel a need to do this. Maybe they afraid the American people are going to realize this guy knows what the hell he is talking about and should be our President.
