it later (I DVR'd it). I only watched a few seconds. It wasn't Tweety. Kerry mentioned that he said something on the Wolf Blitzer show and then said "oh, sorry". Pretty funny.

That was a great interview! I actually learned a LOT from this one and from the Blitzer one on Sunday (I think that's the one--he actually got to talk a lot and explain about what's happening in Iraq.) I was amazed--who thought watching a news program could be educational? :)
I especially liked this Hardball one, though. He sounded so calm and sensible. I like how he explains things (when he's given the chance). We'd all be a lot more informed if people like him were interviewed more often. :)

19. and the host was so much better than Tweety! |
|
He actually conducted an interview that was serious and informative. Asked JK good questions and got good answers back.
Oh how I love John Kerry's refreshing honesty! He tells the truth, plain and simple.

Probably much better than if Tweety had been there. This also marks the second interview in a row that JK wasn't asked about the missing pronoun. That's progress IMO.

It keeps the heat off of him. Let them us someone else as a punching bag. I could us the rest too. LOL

I think he generally likes the good Senator. His coverage of the epic '96 Senate race was really, really funny. (Ahm, well it was.)
I thought Senator Kerry did a very good job on this interview. He repeated his support for a regional summit to get the people involved in the region involved in bringing solutions to this crisis. He took on Al-Hakim and called him on his words at the White House today. (Blaming Sunnis for what has happened and absolving Shiites. As the good Senator said, this kind of squabbling must end.)
Kerry was very good. He was particularly good at explaining that the troops are not the war. (Something he knows by heart.) Service to one's country is a very noble thing. Taking that service and using it for a misguided and wrong policy is betrayal at the highest levels of government. I thought that came across very well.

...these interviews are the 'public version' of the many speeches he made in the leadup to the 2006 Election? I've been re-playing Georgetown and many Faneuil Hall speeches forever...trying to get the word out to friends and family about his Iraq position. But now, it seems to me, he's making those same points to a much wider audience (YAAAAY!) in an effort to push through his proposals to end the war and bring the troops home in best way left to us. I am SO glad to see him finally getting the respect he deserves. :patriot:
