I now have all 3 birthday cards, safe and sound
They will be hand-delivered this coming Monday.

I thank you all for taking such good and deliberate care with these. They are arrived in perfect order and are wonderful.

As ever, I will keep everyone posted on how this reception goes and on what happens.

Again, thanks. You guys and 'blog babes' rule!

1. Awesome. I'm really getting excited with "D-Day" being close at hand
I was not planning on bringing a computer but promise to write up "my thoughts" when I get back home. I'm a bit of a "newbie", and have never even met the Senator before. So hopefully, I'll be able to capture the event well. Of course, I also haven't met all you guys before either, and think that will be just as exciting as meeting the Senator!!

2. There are a lot of people to meet.
We have, all together, about 30 or more people from this group that will be in town. (OMG, that is a lot of you. I will do my best to be a good host.)

Meeting Senators and stuff is easy. (LOL! Hahahahaha I can't believe I wrote that either. OMG, I think things have changed a bit in the last year.) Just one little nugget to put things in perspective. This past Oct, a largish group of us went to the Jefferson Jackson day speech in Manchester, NH. I met two staff folks for Sen. Kerry in the lobby of that hotel. They were all excited because they had just seen a famous basketball player in the lobby. He was in town for an exhibition game against the Celtics. So, it's all a matter of perspective, I guess. (That was great, btw.)

I can't wait to meet ya!

For people NOT going to Boston, is there anything in particular that you would like those of us who are going to relay to KerryStaff or to the good Senator himself? I will do my best to communicate what you tell me.

14. Just tell him to keep up the great work - he's been kicking ass this week
and if you get him close and personal, like in a bar maybe - tell him to smile more when he's on tv.
Show off those sparkly whites :) ( you can tell him to show off more if you'd like... I won't mind )

4. Absolutely.
I will have the cards with me all weekend.

Anyone who has not signed will have a chance to do so. Anyone not in Boston who didn't get a chance to sign should PM me a message and I will write it on the card myself.

6. For people looking for something to do on Sunday,
the new ICA (Institute for Contemporary Art) is opening that day. Free open house. It should be a mob scene, but it might be fun for anyone who is so inclined.
