Boston--
Just got back from Boston. I was thrilled to be able to see JK's reaction to the cards. You'll never believe it though...my name wasn't on any of them! Apparently, I missed the boat again this year.

Of course, it's all my fault, since I refused once again to have the card mailed to me, where it would likely have come to a complete halt until sometime 5 years from now when I would discover where I put it for safe keepping.

Anyways, John Kerry checked out every signature and post stamp. I could see that it really warmed his heart. Clearly, all of us (and everyone who signed the card but couldn't come), are quite special to him.

Even though I wasn't sure I was going to go, thanks for everyone who put out the cat-calls on the blog. A special thanks to the person who dealt with hotel rooms and roomies. (I can't remember who did that kerry-cat call.) I wasn't going to go until I saw that I would be able to share a room with someone. I had a great roomie and a great time.

Tay and everyone, thanks for all the cat-herding you've done both here at DU and there in Boston for the last 4 months.

Meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww......puuuuuuuuuuurrrrr....I'm a happy Kerrycrat.

1. Hmm. To purr, or not to purr?
Okay, the purr thing works for me. Much warmier and fuzzier than doing the squee thing.

I think it maybe has something to do with that pesky darn Y chromosome thingie in my case. Boys are taught not to go squee at a very early age in most families. <grin>

4. You didn't squee, but
we sure did have some laughs. That was one fine weekend, from start to finish. I was hoarse from laughing and talking so much with everyone.

6. Awww, Ray, it was my honor
to be allowed to cat-herder such a wonderful group.

You good people were just amazing. I considered it a treat to have you there and a deep honor to be able to do the little things I did to make the weekend happen.

BTW, we had people there from Friday on. The whole weekend was a blast.
