[OT] I do not belong to an organized party.
I am a Democrat, and I live in Pennsylvania.

:banghead:

:nuke:

Sorry, I just wanted to vent among friends, and remind all the Mass-souls that you just do not know how good you have it.

2. He needs his ass kicked.
Why is he doing this? It's NUTS!
I wonder what the Gov has to say? The poster on the other thread it right, Ed's got to be hopping mad about now.

This sucks.

6. I'll betRendell has a few choice words.
This is really a slap in the face to people who worked so hard for that Chester County seat that went to a recount. All the others, too - but considering we just barely eked out the majority after a recount, when at first it looked like the republicans were going to keep it - damn, this is just a slap.

Something tells me Caltagirone will be facing a primary challenge next time.

3. Sigh. That's why we need to keep Lieberman happy in the Senate.
I don't envy Reid's job.

4. We go through the same things in Mass
we just do them intra-party. Ask a Mass Dem about Tom Finneran one day and see what they say about him.

My sympathies.

5. ask my son what my face looks like
when he just whispers Finneran's name. (This is the best approximation the smilies can offer x( ).
On the other hand, MH1 has a good point: Massachusetts does NOT know how good they have it.
Ask me what it's like to live in the congressional district of Bob Dornan (CA) or John Shadegg (AZ). Ask me about Arizona in general, whose Democratic party was, until recently, so moribund that it couldn't even field candidates in several state and national races; whose congressional delegation was so anti-environment ten years ago that the Sierra Club presented every Senator and Representative (with the exception of Ed Pastor) , with a withered black rose; whose recent governors have had this disconcerting tendency to be indicted; and whose legislature is, or at least used to be, an annual joke. Ask me what it's like to have grown up in CA with grade-B movie actors and tap dancers for governors and senators. Ask my friends what Utah's politics are like , or Chicago's. . .
Even with Finneran (the vilest of the vile), Massachusetts has no idea. They've got the two best senators in the country, and a promising new governor, and still they complain! Good God.

7. Thank you!
I'm glad someone understands. :)

Massachusettsans, you should thank your stars (or deity of choice) every night that you live in the land of the sane.

8. Hmmm, no wikipedia article on Tom Finneran
I'm surprised no one has started it. All I found was that he blocked public funding to support a new stadium, and some little indictment for obstruction of justice thing. Not that I looked hard. :)

In PA we have representatives choking their mistresses, a rep's neighbor's son kills himself with the rep's gun, and so forth. (Well, those were republicans, but as the link in the op shows, sometimes it's hard to know the difference, particularly with the scumbag inhabiting the Mayor's office just down the road from me).
