Yeah, I got steam coming out of my ears on this one.

Republican Hypocrite Bastard Senators Strike Again.

Can anyone out there help me? I have a question.

I think I heard something about there being some problems at Walter Reed Army Hospital - didn't I see something somewhere about our wounded veterans not quite getting the care they deserve?

Actually, I must be imagining that right. Perhaps I'm suffering from pajama-induced, ranting-from-my-basement blogger flashbacks. Because if there was any question about the care our veterans are receiving, and when the Senate is debating a supplemental bill to spend $122,000,000,000 - that's $122 BILLION on war, I'm sure that they would add, maybe $100 million to help our veterans right?

Give this some love. Yeah, I know Sen. Kerry is not principal sponsor on this, but you cold know where he stands on it. This type of behavior is immoral and disgusting.

Way to go Republicans! Complain that the Democrats don't support the troops cuz they won't 'fund the war,' then go ahead and refuse to support the troops by stripping funding for medical needs of soldiers wounded in war. Oh and remember, those oil and gas subsidies, to the tune of billions of dollars, are still there. But $100 million to fix the problems with Military Hospitals is stripped out. Hey, it's only money needed for people wounded in defense of their country, people who have put their lives on hold in order to perform honorable service for their nation. Hey, it's only convenient to remember that when it can be used as a political weapon against the Dems.

I really do believe there is "no place hot enough in hell' to put some people.

1. Beachmom asks a good question there
The amendment was withdrawn - not defeated. This makes it harder to blame the Republicans - even if they were responsible.

We saw on the CAFE standards that Kerry's bill in 2001 was withdrawn after someone added an amendment to repeal the estate tax. Was something like that done here?
