Post from Senator Kerry at Huffington Post. They took our seats!
About Net Neutrality

"Turns out a not so funny little thing happened on the way to the forum: Comcast tried to pack the meeting, going so far as paying people to come in and take up the spaces that could have been filled by concerned members of the public.

How big are the stakes in the so-called network neutrality debate now raging before Congress and federal regulators?"

Even now, they are still mostly positive
There were 2 snarking about whether he would give his super delegate vote to HRC. (I answered with his NYT quote)

There were some saying they should hold hearings - which I think they have. (I didn't know the details of that and legislation so I didn't answer)

There were some that were cynical and sarcastic - though one conditionally exempted Kerry from the they're all in the pockets of corporations. I think Senator Kerry's tome and message really affected many in a positive way. I like his return to his activist roots - not that they weren't always there.

3. I think if Comcast doesn't want bad publicity, then they shouldn't
pull stunts like this; that or fire whichever PR firm gave them this poor advice to pack a meeting. It seems like corporations are baffled by the dynamics of the internet, and are trying to control it when they should approach it differently. Look at the record industry which has been hurt very badly by the internet because they didn't try to think outside the box. I don't see why this has to be a big fight. I don't see why cable companies can't make money AND users and website owners are free to do what they will. Somebody needs to let the cable companies know that if they don't adapt, they will be hurting just as badly as the record industry is now. Going against your own customers (which is what the record industry did) is NOT a good business model.

4. Exactly right
And exactly the way JK seems to view business -- encourage enterprise and commerce, but insist that they thrive by supporting democracy and opportunity and core American values. In the end, it does serve corporations better to work with their customers rather than against them for short-term gain.
