Sen Kerry is on Larry King Kive tonight

Sen. Kerry will appear on CNN's Larry King Live tonight at 9pm EST.

The interview will focus on the Crocker-Petraeus hearings today.

1. Hmmm ... I think the polygamists in TX have pre-empted Iraq & John Kerry.

I'm not saying the TX story is nothing, but Iraq is more important. Our media stinks.

2. They finally got rid of the polygamists - and gave Kerry maybe 10 minutes

mostly to comment on McCain, Clinton and Obama excerpts - he contradicted the first and agreed with the two Democrats and then explained that Petraius and Crocker are implementing a program they didn't design - he said Petraius is doing the best he can with a bad hand.

3. Yup. Gen Petraeus has been handed a bad hand

By the Bush Administration. He did not cause the situation in Iraq and has done the best he could to deal with what he was handed.

The Bush-McCain War is flawed because the planning is flawed at the top. We need a change of leadership in order to change the course of the War.

One possibility:

1. Draw in the 'polygamist' audience from Texas and elsewhere.

2. All the political junkies go find something else to watch.

3. Then interview Senator Kerry on Iraq.

4. Hopefully inform unsuspecting viewers. :7




Another possibility:

1. LOTS of people tune in to LKL in hopes of hearing what Kerry has to say.

2. JK is no where to be found, so they turn off the TV.

3. The audience is reduced for the Senator's important remarks. (purposefully?):shrug:

5. Ugh. I turned off the TV figuring the whole hour was polygamists

and missed John Kerry. Maybe somebody captured it and I can catch it on the web.

6. As King transistioned and said Kerry would be after the break

I actually worried that Larry King would ask him whether Polygamy should be legal or something equally stupid. Fortunately he didn't and Kerry was great - though I think that King was more genuinely interested in the polygamists.

I can't imagine that many people were willing to sit through that first half hour, unfortunately.

8. CNN always serves the needs of the fascists first. It was more than apparent the day in 2004

when Christopher Reeves died.

Normally, you can BANK that LKL would be all over that coverage for the hour - but they ended up spending an hour with Laura Bush.

We all knew Reeves was a good friend of Kerry's and that would have come up, as well as the stem cell research that was so much a part of Reeve's activism.

There is no way Laura was scheduled to appear before word came out that Chris had died.
