The Human Rights Campaign is endorsing 14 contenders for U.S. Senate, but an openly gay candidate from North Carolina is not among them.
...
HRC endorsed Sens. Max Baucus (D-Mont), who scored 67 on the last HRC scorecard; Joe Biden (D-Del.), who scored 78; Susan Collins (R-Maine), who scored 78; Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who scored 89; Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), who scored 78; John Kerry (D-Mass.), who scored 100; Mary Landrieu (D-La.), who scored 89; Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), who scored 100; Carl Levin (D-Mich.), who scored 78; and Jack Reed (D-R.I.), who scored 89.

What I found interesting is that Kerry got the maximum grade among those endorsed. Also, it was interesting that Mary Landrieu was as well rated as Reed or Durbin. I wonder what is the base of their rating.

(Nice to see that Kerry gets all these nice ratings. His website has also a 100 rating from anti-poverty group).

1. i'm surprised by Mary Landrieu also
but maybe not too much. she was one of the few Southern Democrats who regularly campaigned and appeared with Kerry while many others like the Gov from North CArolina who endorsed Hillary today snubbed Kerry. even if Kerry had picked a Senator from his own home state to be the vp candidate. there ware a lot of nice pics of Kerry with Landrieu from 2004. she was one of the people i would have liked to see him pick for vp.

Landrieu is going to have a tough election, but i really hope she pulls this off. the HRC is one example of how she will be way better than any Republican despite her being moderate to conservative.
