Ed O'Reilly - I can win if people do not come and vote!
Talk about supporting democracy!!

http://news.bostonherald.com/news/regional/politics/view.bg?articleid=1118525

Democratic primary challenger Ed O’Reilly predicts he can upset incumbent Sen. John F. Kerry next week, saying his stealth campaign coupled with low voter turnout will take Kerry by surprise.

“I need to stay under the radar screen,” O’Reilly told Herald reporters and editors yesterday, noting the Sept. 16 election isn’t expected to bring out many voters. “A low turnout is better for me. The people coming out next week know who they are voting for.”

1. What a useless lowlife he is
I've left a comment at the Herald site.

2. This shows his true colors - going to a right wing rag
and essentially asking readers to vote in the Democratic party - not to elect someone, but to vote against John Kerry. Note that he is not making that case in the Phoenix or on a blog. The genuine lefties who have backed this man whose lifetime goal would appear to be insuring that there drunks can regain their driving privileges have been completely duped.

4. Not to mention a flip flopper
Here he is saying that he is intentionally flying beneath the radar, but just last month he was demanding 23 debates with Kerry. The reason, because that was the only way to get sufficient visibility. As he spent over a year full time meeting people - even saying that was why he was not fund raising, it's hard to claim he didn't want as many people to meet him as possible. (The fund raising line was nonsense too, he HAD been fund raising for a year at that point - and finding few donors. He likely quit because his hit rate was declining from even the low rate it had.

5. There has been some commentary on MA sites recently
that indicates that people are "on to" Mr. O'Reilly:

6. "It's a little like having our own Sarah Palin, right here in Massachusetts."
:rofl::rofl:

Yup, they get it.

Also enjoyed this quip:
"There is always going to be a certain number of people in your own party that you are just not <insert adjective here> enough for."

8. Now THAT'S a true progressive????
I think the progressive groups who sent me emails out in Ohio to support this LOSER should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm looking forward to the day AFTER the Massachusetts primary when ol' Ed goes back to the rock he crawled out from under. I'm sorry that JK has had to waste time with this loser ... oh, wait, I already called Ed that ... let's try CLOWN this time.
