A handful of little video bon-bons for Election Day

I wanted to get these up quickly especially for those who are in other parts of the country -- 4 tiny (mostly less than 2 minutes each) video clips of JK from this morning. He voted at a polling site near the State House in Boston at 7 AM (aides said he got in line at the ungodly hour of 6:25 -- I was not there to witness this :) ), then answered a few questions from the press and greeted supporters. Vanessa was with him. I cut it up into 4 clips for easy viewing -- especially for those who can't take more than 2 minutes at a time today to watch video but would like to catch some of the vibe from here in Massachusetts.

Also on the front page we have JK's speech from the rally in Hyannis last night. The introduction he and Bill Delahunt gave each other was very funny and we're working on getting that up too, as well as the great speech by Joe Kennedy Jr. But right now I'd better go vote. :)

That clip is great, and JK is absolutely right about the effect of his election on subsequent history.
Hyannis speech is a delight. I seems like folks were having a great time. (Do you have a clip of Delahunt, too? It sounds like he might have (uncharacteristically) been funny). Funny stories about their trick-or-treaters (lots of Sarah Palins, Joe the Plumbers, and a battered guy who was portraying the economy. Great quote about 2004, "Four years ago I invited a young guy from Illinois to speak at the convention. I knew he was talented, but I kinda thought I'd get 8 years in there before he came on board. ." A guy shouted, "So DID WE!" JK sure seems like he's in a great place these days. Thanking everyone for their work in 2004, he said, "You did everything except move to Ohio." A guy (the same one?) shouted, "WE WOULD HAVE!" (Only: did sound go away about 11 minutes in, right after mention of Lieberman, for anyone else?? I'm going to try to reload, in hopes that will fix things, but. . ??)

Yeah, apparently there's a big glitch in the sound. It's probably OK on the original video, but I need to re-import it into my computer. I'll do it later tonight, or in the morning, but not right now.

It was nice to see some familiar faces (and a shout out to all the JK bloggers in Boston!). Also, it seems that Kerry is quite philosophical today, finding the silver lining in his loss 4 years ago -- that Obama will have a much bigger mandate than he ever would have had if he won.
