Taking a break from DU and "Democratic blogs".
I'm sick of the fighting, the second guessing, and just the whole knife in the back thing.

I'm also sick of the self-congratulations and ego driven drivel out there. Not in the JK forum per se but everywhere else.

To me it feels like, "Win an election and let the circular firing squad resume."

Take care of yourselves!

1. The holiday season is probably a good time to take a break, but please, please, please
be back in time for all the SFRC hearings! I know I have had my bad moments during this transition, and am trying to blog a bit more lightly (problem is we still have the runoff for the GA Senate race, so I can't completely disengage). I actually think it will get better once there is real news to report. Right now it's a lot of jockeying for position, which is really hard to watch without getting mad.

Take care, Ray. And know you can post in here all of your frustrations anytime.

3. Democrats are a coalition of people with a broad sets of views.
When they succeed in coalescing around a candidate, this candidate wins. However, this does not mean that these people have renounced to their differences and these differences are due to reappear when the central front of battle (the election) is won.

So, I am less bothered by the different views and potential disagreements on one aspect or the other of what the Obama team is doing than I am with the very doctrinal aspect of some people, that if you do not subscribe 100 % to their viewpoint you are the enemy. We have way too many people on DU who cannot sustain a real discussion of ideas and resort to name calling.

4. That's why I need a rest.
Too much in-your-face-doctrinal-people...

And also, I just can't stand to know that it's still two months before this country will see some integrity and relief from those bushco criminals. They're pilfering the country even as they prepare to leave it.
