Sen. John Kerry, meanwhile, is in Georgia, holding a town meeting at the Atlanta Academy of Medicine. He then ed boards at the Atlanta Journal Constitution and attends a George Democratic Party event in the evening.

2. But this can't be right as he made the vote
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 09:24 PM by TayTay
in the Senate today. He voted AYE on this: Bingaman Amdt. No. 143; To restore funding for education programs that are cut and reduce debt by closing corporate tax loopholes. (It failed, of course.)

Unless, he flew up to DC, voted at 5:30, then flew back to Atlanta. (I think maybe he missed the nighttime function, but I could be wrong.)

4. How does he keep up the pace?
He must spend half of his life on planes. On any given day he could be in DC in the morning, Boston in the afternoon, and halfway across the country in the evening. And he's back in DC the next day in time to give a rousing speech on the floor of the Senate, and vote the right way on important bills.

And just think of the frequent-flyer miles...

7. I cannot imagine.
This winter I was completely wiped out from a two-day trip to DC, which makes me look like a slacker compared to what he does. That kind of schedule would either kill you or harden you, I guess.
