when I was a kid. I never noticed, until I went to DC for college, that the Tin Man and the Scarecrow have Boston accents. (People from NJ noticed this for me and informed that I was mentally deficient for not noticing it before.) I then spent many a misspent college hour debating with friends how the Kansas farm hands got from Boston to Kansas. (It certainly wouldn't happen now. Kansas disdains us, precious, yes, they do! What did we ever do to them, precious! All we wants is the ruling ring, it was ours first, precious and we wants it back!)

Books and movies! (Because I just can't be geeky enough for one lifetime.) I was very depressed after the election and my son cheered me up by making fun of * using LOTR references. "Who are they? They were Deomcrats once,great legislators among men. Then Bush the Deceiver gave to them nine rings of power (or cabinet seats, I'm not sure.) Now they are under his power, ringwraiths, neither living nor dead. (This explains Cheney.)

We had a totally ridiculous discussion about who was who in the movie. (He claimed that Frodo/Sam were K/E and I said no way, both are too tall. And they would never go with Smeagol.)

And most of the time it stays busy. We have more and more showing up everyday now. It is starting to be one of the busiest which I think is great. I stay away from the major shitstorm going on in the other forums. Those people are a bunch of illiterate dumbasses that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to Kerry. It is like talking to a block wall. So I hang out with all the Kerrycrats and life is so much better.
