I was going to post this myself, but I had my own (high school) graduation yesterday, so I was a tad bit busy. Anyway, here's a pic of the event that came from one of the newspapers in Iowa: http://vh10503.moc.gbahn.net/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=G0&Date=20050605&Category=NEWS0104&ArtNo=506050329&Ref=AR&Profile=1001&MaxW=500&title=1&Maxh=400&Q=80

I was very excited to graduate - that last semester dragged by soooo slllowwwwlllyyyy. And now I'm excited because I'm headed off to Georgetown in August - let's hope that my academic record will prove a bit stronger than John Kerry's :+ (mostly because my parents would freak out if a C, let alone a D, appeared on my transcript.)

10. Ok I am officially jealous of you |
|
Georgestown you smart one, if theres one thing Ive learned from meeting girls my age of similiar politics views, its that they're all damned smart, congrads on Georgestown, I live in the DC metro area, and will be attending a local community college and hope to go to college at GWU. I really am jealous of you for getting in to a school like Georgestown really. Have fun in DC, where are you from originally?

It doesn't get that cold in DC. Come on up to Boston and we can show you cold.
(On the other hand, I turn to mush when the temperature gets above 80, so we are even. I hate the heat.)

15. Compared to Florida . . . |
|
DC is freezing. Keep in mind, I've lived in Florida my whole life, and I've only seen snow once in my entire life. And I hated it. Really, I hate anything below about 60 degrees, but I guess I'm just going to have to buy some warmer clothes and get over it. What I'm really worried about is gray, depressing days, because the sun does shine almost all the time in Florida (except for during our summer thunder storms.) Oh well, I suppose that if I decide that I can't handle it, I can always transfer to a school in a warmer climate. Having said that, I have friends who have gone to school in North Carolina and thought they were freezing to death. So I guess I'm screwed no matter what.
