I support Kerry no matter what others say or do! |
|
Whew, I needed to get that off my chest. What a day, bad grades, military records released and people angry because he waited until after the election to release everything, also, no mention of the DSM and that jerk Kos at it again attacking Kerry. I hope Kerry runs again just to piss Kos off some more. I even e-mailed the guy who wrote the article about Kerry's grades in the Boston Globe and gave him a few negative vibes. None of this really matters though, because they can dish out as much negativisms as they like and it won't change the fact that Kerry is and will remain the better man. He will continue to gather and maintain a loyal following and through it all he will remain a man of integrity, honor and conviction. A man who endures all of this crap from others in order to serve his country and its people as a humble public servant. It is because Kerry is the man he is that I continue to defend and support him. So, let the fickle waiver in their support and let others support their lesser candidates. The media can take the truth and spin it until its nothing but a lie and the republicans can excuse all Bush criticisms as sore loser, it doesn't make any difference because we know that Kerry gets under their skin, he has that "something" that they just can't figure out and it frightens them. And we all know what people do when they feel threatened- they attack. OK, I feel better now. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

I just vented something very similar on another thread.
Let Kerry be Kerry, and have faith. I'm with you.

Kerry is great. i love that he is going around the country talking to people about the issues that matter. issues that those who attack him don't know or care a thing about.

3. I'm diggin' that Kos is in trouble over in Kos-land |
|
for running what some consider a very sexist Gilligan's Island ad, and then insulting the "Women's Studies" crowd very flippantly. The dude really, really doesn't get it, does he. I'm starting to get the idea he's very immature.

4. Also put it in perspective |
|
He released a ton of private records that were probably requested as a fishing expedition - he must have done something that was criticized in his almost 4 years in the Navy. They apparently found nothing there but things Kerry said were there and most of which was on Kerry's campaign web site, He was highly praised for almost everything he did,
All they could find were photos where he looked awful (not a crime ) and they found that he had poor grades in his freshman year. I assume his parents were not too happy, but it seemed that neither they or Yale were concerned enough to tell him he needed to drop any of his 4 sports, debating, political union etc. He then seemed to pull his grades up somewhat. Between his activities, a part time job, and what sounded like a great social life, it seems grades were less a priority than they should have been. But he had said he was not a very dedicated student in Tour of Duty - I don't know if anyone in Massachusetts ever asked him about his Yale grades. (I have no idea what Corzine's or Lautenberg's were like and I really don't care.)
At least this being out should give him the upper hand in fighting the liars. They won't stop, but rational people will probably object if they attempt to question his record. So, from this record dump which the RW probably hoped would either contain highly embarrassing information or that Kerry would not release it so they could imply that they know that there are problems there, there was nothing that Kerry should be concerned with, I don't think MA will ask their hardworking, respected Senator to resign because he has tarnished the state's image or that his friends and family will suddenly change their opinion of him,
Maybe, if jealousy was the motive for the Globe people treating him as they do - they might be nicer - poor Kerry has to let the world know that he got bad grades at 18 and he has at least 2 pictures where NO ONE would say he was handsome. (The good news is they can't really be used as they hardly look like him.) Maybe they will think he deserves some sympathy - especially as he was the one telling the truth.

5. It was a chuckle in MA |

and then over. No one really cares. Too many people have had bad freshman years in school.
Plus, we know Kerry here. He is wicked smaht. Nothing changed.

6. Seems the Boston Globe has changed his target today |

Their lead editorial is a strong criticism of Dean's last statements.

7. I guess Dean saying things about some Republican |

not having to have a job is nastier than the Rove/Mehlman lies. It would have been nice if they complimented Kerry for releasing everything and having the records back him 100%.

8. Actually Kerry can't lose, |

He's "wicked smaht" or to be commended for working very very hard to become as knowledgeable as he is on so many topics. (Voting for both).
- On another thread, you mentioned he got a "C" in French - what they don't say was what level. For languages, you start at a level that is based on a test. If you test well this can be tough for a freshman. Because of his background, his understanding and fluency may have been better than his knowledge of grammar rules, spelling etc.
The Times covered it today without mentioning any of his extra curricular activities (other than mentioning learning to fly). They talk of BUSH's improvement over the years. More importantly they totally ignored the release of the military records. I think they really want to diminish Kerry's prospects in 2008 or they don't like him. (I have thought this because they ignore his role in the Bolton hearings and they ignored his speeches. The day Bolton was nominated they initially had Kerry's comments on the web, but they were not included in the paper the next day - though Lugar, Hagel and Reid were.)
