most of these people have always bashed Kerry. posting these things and attempting to be rational is not going to change their minds as they only want to spew some crap.

only thing you can do is ignore them and alert on them if they violate the rules.

6. the positive stuff is something you have to also pay attention to

many times we let the few same bashers get to us. but it's important to look at the positive stuff and enjoy those. and those are more important than the stupid bashing also.

7. That was a noble attempt, but doomed from the beginning

The Kerry bashers will not stop to read what you say. They will simply answer by the usual invectives.

Those people who simply do not like Kerry, but with whom you can have a civil conversation otherwise are probably as tired of these threads as I am of threads promoting any Southeners on the fact that they are from the south and moderates.

I do not know the solution, but I tend to avoid threads that vent the merit of one Democrat or another. There are too many things to do right now that should not depend on whether you like somebody or not, but how he reacts on a given situation.

I know I was probably asking for it - but, it is also good to know why people really dis Kerry. Even a couple of the bashers have said positive things about him.

The one thing that keeps coming up is the election, and why he conceded when he did. I can't debate that, I'm still trying to understand.
I know Kerry had his reasons. I just wish I knew what they were. IMO if he met this issues head-on, alot of the bashing would stop. This is my only complaint with Kerry, we fought hard, invested $, energy. We deserved an answer from Kerry, and he didn't give it. :-( I have even emailed Kerry asking him to come out with a statement, trying to explain very tactfully how upset his supporters were.
