Not sure what this raw data means. http://herndon1.sdrdc.com/cgi-bin/cancomsrs/?_06+P80000235 I think it means left-over money from last year, plus new money from this year. 1. Interesting.
Of course, I have no idea what it means either. But I'm sure somewhere in GD there's someone howling about how dare he have all that money... :eyes:

2. I am addicted to the reports behind this stuff
They have to file what they spent money on. (The PDF reports on expenditures.) I am unable to resist this 'useless to me' trivia. I have no idea why. (Thousands and thousands of dollars for cell phone bills. Wow! What does it mean? I don't know. Wow! Money to a PR firm in Cincinnatti. What does it mean? I don't know.)

So, now you know how to completely distract me. TayTay is making a long, boring point about something in MA politics and someone says there is a new sheet up on the FEC site.

Ooooh, shiny. Must look. Must look. (Sigh. I have a geeky soul.) Same thing happens with the Statistical Abstract of the US. http://www.census.gov/statab/www/brief.html Ooooh, wicked, wicked shiny stuff. (Help me!) Sigh!

for us, and interpret. That stuff puts me into a glazed state. But I enjoy hearing the abstract you provide.

That gives new meaning to the term "cell phone addiction." He must pay all his staff cell bills as well. Even so...overseas charges???

Ohio PR. Hmmm....

4. That stuff is fascinating
I ordered the CD on the Statistical Abstract. (OMG. I really did. This stuff is great.)

Yeah, the pages and pages of stuff they have to file is amazing. It doesn't mean much, but it's just interesting to skim. (Why is it interesting to skim? Ahm, I don't know yet.)

5. I always wondered who
bought those things...

Just teasing. I eagerly await the report. And the tea leaves it produces.

6. I won't have any. Those are ruminating numbers

They just get in your skull and wait there for two years until something you read, hear or see triggers them. Then they become, unexpectedly, relevant. (That's how it works for me anyway.)

Hey, speaking of statistics and economics: Hearing on Thursday. You'll love this.
Nothing more exciting than tax pol...i...c.... zzzzz zzzzzz.

8. I can't do much of this either
But, I'll give it a shot. At least there will be documentation to skim through.

Friends of John Kerry raises $2.2 million and spends $2.2 in the second quarter. Major expenditures: direct mail and telemarketing.

So, did they give it away or should they change fundraisers? Sounds like a wash to me. Does this include money spent on ads in newspapers and stuff?
