For those who don't venture into GD. I went to eat lunch and just tuned in.

1. On again at 8 pm CSPAN 1 - set your VCR's!
Edited on Fri Jul-22-05 05:38 PM by MH1
That is, anyone who didn't grab it already.

I just watched the end of it as soon as I got in from work. It's powerful stuff. I'm setting the speed on "best quality" for taping it tonight.

Edit - That's 8 pm Eastern.

2. This was fantastic!
The men who testified today are true Patriots! I've already listened to it once and watched most of it once, but I plan to watch it again tonight. (It's worth seeing again for Marcinkowski's "Oppsie The Clown" comment alone!) Did this get any play on the evening news? We were in the middle of a horrendous T-storm at news time so I missed seeing any of it.

3. I keep catching the same guys
Louise Slaughter - Larry Johnson. I had to leave when Larry Johnson was speaking, just got home a few minutes ago. And I'm going to have to leave again in a few minutes, right about the time Johnson finishes up again. Grrr.

But Lang and Johnson, WOW. I just don't see why anybody would try to deny what they're saying, or at least consider themselves a patriot while they're doing it.

4. It's still on but they've gotten to the point I've already seen,
Edited on Fri Jul-22-05 08:59 PM by MH1
so here I am...

As I left the room with the TV on I was just wondering why the hell Rove isn't already in jail. Hell, the bastard could be out of the country by the time a formal indictment comes down.

But I think cspan airing this several times is a really good sign.

(damn, where's the frog-marching icon when I need it?)

5. This was a very powerful hearing.
The Congress folks who were there seemed genuinely surprised at how vehemently the Intel people despised what the Admin thugs had done. The Intel guys did a great job of repeating that real damage had been done to both the credibility of the United States and to covert operations that were under way at the time of the leak.

The best thing about this hearing was just how angry those folks were. If this is at all indicative of the morale in the Intelligence gathering agencies in the US, we are in big trouble. And these guys are representing a major fron in the 'War on Terra.' Wow!

6. The part I liked
The most important part of the "War on Terra" is HUMINT. The leak was the worst possible thing we could do when we need HUMINT the most. No wonder we can't get anybody to snitch off Bin Laden. Oh hell yes, blame it on Karl and Scooter.

7. Have I mentioned lately (in like the last 5 minutes)
that I friggin despise these Rethug sons of bitches. How in the world could we elect someone who thinks it's fun to out a covert agent? How in Gawd's name did those friggin clueless numbnuts ever ascend to the higest office in the land?

Life is unfair.

8. Friggin clueless numbnuts.
That is the answer to your question.

It may not be their "fault" that so many Americans were friggin clueless numbnuts on Nov. 2 2004, but it is quite apparent that about 60 million were (give or take a few million for fraud).

Watching Noisy Democrat's video brought back to me the utter cluelessness of my fellow voters and put me back in seething rage mode.
