Too soon for another photo thread?
Hopefully one without parrots. I found a couple of photos today that I'd never seen before so I thought I'd post them.

That one is hotter than the temperature outside today!

mmmmmm - blue jeans AND rolled up sleeves.

3. Well, it was a year ago that ....

I don't usually go for nostalgia. But that was an interesting week in the Olde Towne.

19. Wow! Has how time flies!
It's difficult to believe that it's already been a year since the convention. I guess one good thing about time flying is that before we know it we'll wake up and the nightmare that is the Reign of the Chimp will be over! Hang in there folks, Hope Is On The Way!!

In between wives . . .

http://www.hedgefundmistress.com/JohnKerryScrapbook.html

The repukes wanted to bring him down with this, to show that he was another Clinton. But that was too long ago. I also heard he dated Morgan Fairchild. Just like my hubby, has a thing for blondes, but marries brunettes ;)

13. one of the reasons Gore didn't pick him for vp
Edited on Sat Jul-23-05 01:01 AM by JI7
even though he was single at the time. but i guess with the Republicans making a huge issue out of Clinton and that being what the media talked about they thought they could just imply things by bringing up things he did BEFORE he married Teresa.

that girlfriend probably hoped to make money if he became president. perhaps in the future. but she did say a lot of positive things about him even though she seems kind of obsessive. but then look at our posts so can't blame her too much.

and we did get some good pics out of it.

14. Interesting!
I never thought about Gore / Kerry!

I always figured Gore picked Lieberman to offset his "liberal" label.

Wonder if Kerry would have said yes?
It was Limpo that wanted to bring her up in 2004. Hahaha limpo. Look who's talking anyway! Druggie, 3 divorces. barf

16. yes he would have, Kerry was very open about wanting to be VP
and many including Kerry thought it was going to be him. it was a big surprise when he learned it was Lieberman.

i remember being excited and thinking it was going to be Kerry. it was a bit of a let down with Lieberman. but i got behind the ticket right away since i knew how important it was that Gore get into office and not Bush.

17. So hard to think about that now!
How different life would be if the Supreme Court went the other way!

I never knew of Kerry back then.
Back then I thought Clinton was the man! He was a great president.
But Kerry is going to be even better:P

31. Well, Kerry bowed out of running in 2000
Edited on Sun Jul-24-05 07:57 PM by TayTay
because he didn't think it was the right time for him. And Gore also didn't pick Kerry for VP because of his vote AGAINST the IRaq War in 1991. (Yes, the ironies just don't stop coming.)

Kerry advised Gore in 2000 when Bill Bradley mounted a credible campaign in that year's primary. Kerry was a principle advisor to the Veep on political strategy. There were, apparently, no hard feelings when the VP thing didn't work out. (Ahm, yeah, okay.)

Verifification of this can be found in NYTimes and BGlobe articles that I have. Let me knonw if you want them.

I mean, I know that he did, but I've always thoguht that she seems like an airhead (even though it says she went to Harvard) and isn't that attractive.

25. Well, single people do tend to date
Maybe she had a nice personality.

Eh, At least she wasn't a Jennifer Flowers type. That would have been awful. (Though he'd have had to travel to Revere to find the Jennifer Flowers Type in MA. -- inside joke on my hubbie who hails from the 'Big Hair' city of Revere.)

8. remember this nite? :(

I remember when Letterman said "The road to the WH goes right thru this chair."

GreenDay performed that nite, it was the first time I heard my favorite song AMERICAN IDIOT. I still have that as the ring tone on my cell.
I always love the looks I get when people see me, a middle-aged woman with that ringtone;)

29. I drive past this on occasion.
It's about a mile or so from my house. It's also almost directly across the street from the polling location where I was a poll watcher. I've been meaning to take a picture of it, but never seemed to have a camera handy until today.
The Gore sign stayed up until it was replaced by this one, so I'll be seeing it for some time to come.
Most of the time, it makes me smile.
:-)
