Kerry Press Conference Alert! |
|
Kerry, Wyden, Schumer to Hold Enery Bill Press Conference Today July 28th, 2005 Senators Say Energy Bill Fails Americans
Today - Thursday, July 28 - Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.), Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) will hold a press conference to take on the energy bill which has returned from conference committee.
The latest version of the energy bill is a significant departure from the bipartisan legislation passed out of the Senate this year. The conference committee stripped several key provisions from the bill, including one that would have saved a million barrels of oil a day, one addressing climate change, and one requiring the use of renewable energy sources for a small percentage of electricity. The Senate may vote on the energy bill as early as this week.
WHAT: Senators address energy bill
WHEN: Thursday, July 28 1:45 - 2:15 p.m.
WHERE: Senate Radio TV Gallery (S-325)

When you say it will be at Senate Radio tv Gallery, does that mean it will be broadcast? More specific please, I'm off today and would love to watch Kerry.

4. No word on whether it will be broadcast... |
|
I am told most likely not, due to heavy schedule on the Senate floor today. Possibly C-Span Radio? If I hear more I will let you all know!
