John Kerry owed an apology from Bush and Cheney
No major newspapers noted that Bush had bashed Kerry with now-defunct "war on terror" term

During the October 2003 debate, Kerry said:

I believe Americans want somebody who can defend the security of the United States. And this war on terror is far less of a military operation and far more of an intelligence-gathering, law-enforcement operation. And the American people deserve somebody who can lead them to do it correctly and make us safer and stronger in the process.

The March 6, 2004, Times article quoted Kerry saying:

The war on terror depends on the most unprecedented cooperation in American history, the thing they're worst at. The final victory in the war on terror depends on a victory in the war of ideas, much more than the war on the battlefield. And the war - not the war, I don't want to use that terminology. The engagement of economies, the economic transformation, the transformation to modernity of a whole bunch of countries that have been avoiding the future. And that future's coming at us like it or not, in the context of terror, and in the context of failed states, and dysfunctional economies, and all that goes with that.

The Weekly Standard's "Scrapbook" column raised the question: "Is it conceivable that John Kerry is owed an apology by the Bush administration?"

2. And about 51% of voters
if you believe he actually lost.
How long until people wake up? This becomes increasingly frustrating at every turn. First we have to convince the Dems that he was right all along. Then we can start working on the Republicans.

If Kerry does run again in '08 his campaign slogan should be - "I Told You So".

7. Please, borrow away!
Several times over the past few months we've heard about something that Kerry was right about and Bush was wrong about and that's the first thing I think of. Of course we knew Kerry was right all along, now didn't we!

6. I'm confused, Isn't the Weekly Standard really really conservative?
Did they really say this?

Because I was in London on from 7/7 to 7/10, I heard the tv commentators and the government officials responding to the bombings. The approach all of them took was far more Kerry's than Bush's. Quetioning who these men talked with, where they went, who the telephoned, where did the get money from, whre did they send money. Law enforcement.

From the looks of things, they have been more successful using this approach then Bush was.
