I spoke with her again tonight. Her cell phone service has been spotty at best, and often I get an error message telling me that due to the hurricane, my call cannot be completed. She told me that during the day they have been ordered to turn their cell phones off so they do not interfere with emergency workers' transmissions. She has power restored, but the phone lines all over her county are still down, so she can't log on to the internet. I told her that people here were asking about her, and she was touched by your concern, and said to tell you all hello, and that she is fine, and appreciates your concern. I wish I could go down there to help out :( even though her area was not hit hard - relatively speaking of course.

We were concerned, cuz she is relatively close. I'm relieved to hear that she is okay.
And Merh called in. (She's not often here, but she is a big Kerry supporter.) She lost everything, but she doing okay.
