how quickly would Shrub Co. have tripped over themselves to offer help to NOLA and other storm ravaged areas? It's a pointless question of course, but I bet a lot of things would have turned out much, much differently at least in the aftermath. (Just when I don't think I can get more cynical, I manage to surprise myself!)

I read that Bush released money immediately and government reps were taking applications at such notable places as McDonald's. Everybody got money- even people who didn't need it. IMO, he was paying people for their votes.
