And just how Mass is it?
How about a gay wedding, that is Catholic/Pagan (co-officiated) with a blended family of two or more kids. That's pretty Mass, if you ask me. Of course, you contact the local homeless shelter afterward to see if they want the leftover food and you make sure that all the leftover trash is sorted by type for recycling. Ah, now that's my Massachusetts. (Big beating blue heart.)
(We got kind of caught up describing 'only in Massachusetts' events that we had actually been to. It was great!)
Anybody have any only in ********* events?

3. Make that an interracial gay Catholic/Pagan wedding |
|
With an organic vegetarian menu. And the couple requests no gifts, just donations to their favorite non-profit organization. Events to take place in either Northhampton or Provincetown.
And that's about as Mass as I can imagine at the moment.

4. Yeah, that would be the topper |
|
And I can imagine it happening. That would be very, very Mass.
The funny thing is that most of us have no experience in doing this, we just make it up as we go along. What the hell, let's just go with it.
I got asked by this guy at work if I wanted to come to a 'Croning' ceremony. He was going to be helping to cremonially usher a woman I knew into her older years with an accepting ritual that was woman-friendly. I had no idea what you broguht to a nice croning, but I was hoping glassware would do. The cremony was officatd by a male gay couple who we so nice and who spoke so lovingly about how we have to accept older women. I actually had a good time and the food was great. Live and learn.

That's a polite description of it! Popular wiccan/pagan/goddess ritual for women past menopause. It's all about honoring the wisdom of older women simply put.

I just found the execution of it to be, 'So Mass.' (And maybe , 'so SoCal' as well.)
